Please Note: All pricing is subject to adjustment without prior notice. Rates are only confirmed once your booking is officially accepted and a deposit has been received.
Rentals
MeloHire ("the supplier") rents out décor items and equipment in accordance with these terms and conditions. Both the client and MeloHire agree to use their listed addresses for all formal communication.
Payments & Deposits
All rental fees and required deposits must be paid in full, preferably in cash upon delivery, unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Deposits (less a 10% handling fee if paid electronically) will be refunded after collection, provided all items are returned in acceptable condition. Discrepancies in billing must be submitted in writing within 3 days of the invoice date.
Rental Duration
The rental period begins upon delivery or collection and concludes once the items are returned and checked by MeloHire.
- Late returns are charged at the daily rate plus applicable travel costs if collection is required.
- While we strive for timely delivery, MeloHire cannot be held responsible for unexpected delays.
Condition of Items
All rental items are considered to be in good, clean, and usable condition upon delivery unless the client notifies us immediately of any defects. If equipment is found to be faulty, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund as appropriate.
Care, Cleaning and Return of Items
Clients are responsible for keeping all rented items in a dry and secure place. Any faults must be reported immediately. Damages resulting from misuse or neglect will be billed to the client.
Guidelines for Returns:
- Cleanliness: All items must be returned clean and in suitable condition. A cleaning fee will be applied for unwashed or soiled items.
- Stains: Items stained beyond standard cleaning (such as wax, red wine, or mold) may require dry cleaning or replacement, which will be charged accordingly.
- Linens: Please do not place damp linen in bags—this can lead to mold and permanent damage.
- Special Items: Tulle runners must be returned in original condition.
- Loss/Damage: Lost or damaged goods will be billed at full replacement value.
- Substitutions: No item substitutions are allowed.
- Final Count: If items are not checked on return with a MeloHire representative, our count will be deemed final.
Proper Use of Equipment
All rented items must be used only for their intended purpose and at the client's own risk. MeloHire accepts no liability for injuries, property damage, or loss caused by the use or malfunction of hired items. The client agrees to indemnify MeloHire from all claims, liabilities, and associated legal costs.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by MeloHire.
- A 10% cancellation fee applies to all confirmed bookings.
- Cancellations due to weather do not qualify for exemption.
- At our discretion, payments may be credited toward a new date (subject to availability).
Delivery & Collection
Delivery and collection are available at an additional fee based on location. While we aim to deliver at the agreed time, delays may occur beyond our control. A responsible person must be present at both delivery and collection to confirm item counts and condition.
Responsibility for Hired Items
The client is responsible for the safekeeping of all items from the time of delivery or collection until return or pickup. This includes ensuring items are protected from theft, weather damage, or misuse. Additional fees will apply for loss or irreparable damage due to negligence or unsafe storage.
Force Majeure
MeloHire will not be held liable for failure to fulfill any part of this agreement due to events beyond our control. This includes natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, transport issues, power failures, or government regulations.
By hiring from MeloHire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
